New Blog...

Hello. I'm the same ol' Christina (Christina from DU, Christina from HELP, Christina from KR - depending on when u got to know me) with a new blog.

As i start a relatively new life here in NUS (National University of Singapore, for those of u who aren't aware) away from home sweet home, its time to start a new blog. I wouldn't want ppl going through my rather 'turbulent' college/highschool days would i? That's not to say that my current life will be any less dramatic.

Living on campus in a hall is esp erm... how shall i put it.....'eventful'. I came here not knowing anyone or anything, so i've got lots to discover and write about, no?

In a nutshell, i've been here since July 24th 2005. The first night was lonely as hell, with only a quarter of the hall filled. Then orientation started on the following day. People started streaming in and FWOC (Freshmen Welcome Orientation Camp... i think) started. Then its the normal icebreakers, followed by many other games which required us to get wet and dirty. I can't really remember the games, but the main point is to get to know your fellow freshmen and seniors. You guys get the idea rite? Made some good friends there.... and our OG (Orientation Group) still try to meet once every.... month? After FWOC was Block orientation where we get to know our seniors and your neighbours. Oh yeah... i'm staying in E-block where there are 7 floors - 1,2,4,6 guys and 3,5,7, girls. I'm staying on the 3rd floor with erm... all girls. Those of you who know me... you guys are probably laughing your asses off right now.

That aside, E-block is known as the Sports Block of the hall since they won like.... erm... many many many times (i'm not too bothered with stats) and as winners, others usually hate you. So yes, u hear ppl giving you the 'OH' when u say that u're from E-blk. Another point, i'm Doomed. i'm just so not the type who loves to run although i love tennis. I'm not a big fan of erm..... yeah.. Running which roughly translates to : I'm not very athletic and is seriously physically unfit. The sgporeans here do like 2.4km runs during their JC or sec school or wtv, but for us M'sians? 1.5km also want to cheat! LOL.... so die laaaaa.....

Anywayz, tomorrow marks the end of IBG (Inter Block Games) which means no more early morning runs. Miraculously, i've not attended a single morning run. Erm... not on purpose, just that i seem to have something on in the mornings or i've been away or i've been sick.

Speaking of falling sick, i've been ill twice during my 6 weeks stay here. The first time was the first week of IBG. I had the whole flu LARGE combo (Fever, sorethroat, running nose, cough). Felt darn sick and just couldn't run with the bad cough for about 10 days. After that, i went home for 5 days. Came back, the trainings were for the games i didn't really like, so i decided not to go. Then the next week, i had some weird stomach flu. Was f-in weak and really wanted to go home then. Needed my mummy's tender loving care. Thank God in the end i recovered. After that, i don't know why but in the mornings, it either rained or trainings were canceled. Weird ritee? Seeeee.... it wasn't my fault! I didn't purposely skip training!

*yawnz* i'm sleepy..... 2 b continued... no more stamina la...
